Eder Kemo
Eder Kemo is one of the many garden Ages of D’ni. It is a public viewing place, held within the Great Public Library as a sort of small park Age.
Named after the indigenous fish of this world, the Kemo, people come often to view the extravagant fish as well as gaze upon the lovely scenery that nature and D’ni have put here. There are walled gardens that section off different areas of landscaping in this Age. These sections include little gazebos with benches for sitting; a glorious fountain in the center in which flows naturally from the water beneath the ground; and several different small pools that contain the glorious Kemo.
Other than the Kemo, there are not many other animals that live here. The vegetation is natural, as well as helped to grow in different arrangements by some of those in the Caterer’s guild who likes to grow flowers. The public is allowed viewing of this Age, but not allowed to interfere with the natural balance, or explore beyond the marks of the Maintainers Guild.

There seem to be many insects here in addition to the Kemo... mostly these curious beetles which sit along the ridge tops. As well there are a number of fireflies which flit about, though they disperse when the frequent storms pass by.
The fireflies seem to have a certain fondness for visitors; or at least for me. They've been following me ever since I found them. I cannot decide if it is irritating or endearing... I suppose I'll settle on the latter to keep my sanity.
They only seem to follow when one walks slowly - run and they can't keep up. Furthermore they will not cross open water, so if one wades into a pool or even jumps over a stream they will leave.
Later
... how curious. I linked back to Ae'guera while the fireflies were flitting about me, and it seems they managed to come back with me into the Cavern. A shame - they will probably die here with no food. Still, it has given me some pleasure to watch the little things flit about my bevin. They have delighted my neighbor's daughter - she follows them about the light garden all day, endlessly fascinated by the flying lights.
I have resolved to bring some into Aviaria. Kera will like that, I think.
