The Age of Storms
Written by Eder Fenah
This age consists of a wild, roiling sea, dotted with rocks and whirlpools, covered by an endless maelstrom. It duplicates some of the weather conditions found in the lower levels of the age Empyrean – endless, boiling storms, replete with continual electric discharges.
At the center of the Age are a series of small islands of very strong volcanic rock which jut far above the turbulent waters. A number of buildings stand atop the islands, mostly for research, but with a few living quarters as well.
The age displays many very unusual weather patterns not found in other ages, and it is ideal for studying lightning and other electrical phenomena.

The descriptive book links, most unfortunately, outside the buildings. I was soaked to the bone and nearly struck by lightning before I managed to find my way inside. Blast and damn. I'll have to build something over it then, and that will take... time. Quite a lot, considering how few the resources here seem to be. At least on that first isle of Empyrean my great-great-grandfather had access to trees...
No matter. The Linking Book links to a bunker which I can only assume exists as a safety for when the storms get too bad.
Much to my surprise, some equipment for measuring the age was already extant here - where they came from I cannot say.
Well, I suppose it's time to begin my work...

Interesting. today the weather was clear. I've never seen this before, and it does not seem to have come from any of the adjustments I've made to the Age. While I managed to change certain aspects of the lightning, certain wind patterns and such, I have not as yet been able to induce a clear day... either the book's re-linked to somewhere new (unlikely, as the Linking Book has remained functioning) or this is a natural fluke.
