Er’duna
The Age of Food, written by the Guild of the Caterers.
It’s claimed to be the greatest breading ground for their main sources of meat. There are no restrictive fencing, no barns or traces of mankind placed anywhere. Just endless fields and forests, dipped with few lakes and water holes for the species that live here to survive. The only man made property is the holding house for the Linking Book, settled back at the Great Library.
It’s most common use is for that of drawing in food. Those who’s family does not own their own Age can enter freely from the Public Library, and use the age to collect their own prey by the standard uses of hunting. No mechanical items are to be drawn in, it must all be done with old types of weapons such as knife weapons, bows, or javelins.
Most common animals found are cattle, pork, several types of fowl, and less common types of animals that are considered prime meats, but much harder to catch due to their wild nature. To take an animal life here is not forbidden as it is in the city, unless the meat is wasted. Hunting for fur, prizes, or fun is not allowed.
Each week a Maintaining team enters the age to check on the population of the animals. Each week a list of those not allowed to be hunted are posted. This is to keep control of the populations and not allow any extinction of a creature.

The age's landscape is mostly verdant savannah, though there are some forested areas and, in the distance, great mountains (which I did not explore). Said savannah does indeed have an abundance of water-holes and small rivulets - one must be careful at times not to turn an ankle when chasing prey.
The predators here can be exceedingly dangerous - if one should encounter them it is best to run (though they can be killed by a skilled hunter, this is not encouraged as it is wasteful.)
This author, of the Writer's Guild, was once nearly killed by a wild bull here - he is no great hunter and is simply glad he has a populated age of his own, wherein the people are more than willing to feed him. ~ Eder Fenah

The hunting part of this age makes me wish to become a vegetarian. Upon having watched so many enter and just torture the animal in which that they hunted, I fear more or less what damage we've actually done to the environment.
I'll propose at the next Maintainers Council how we can do this. People should be regulated in and out of this place, in order to know the amount of food we are taking from this place. Protecting endangered species is not an easy task!
We need to make better bows at least. Honestly. We can write an age but I can't seem to find a bow that fires straight....
